ORION is a multidimensional ceramic relief from the SPACE HORSES series and part of Theater of Invisible — a long-term meta-project by Kirin Arts exploring the invisible dimensions of consciousness and translating them into artistic, spatial, and experiential forms.
The work emerges at the intersection of art, mythology, consciousness research, and the exploration of outer space. Inspired by the Orion constellation, ORION unfolds as a multilayered structure in which the familiar earthly form of the horse becomes a point of departure toward a larger, multidimensional reality.
The SPACE HORSES series was developed through a conceptual dialogue between artistic research and humanity's relationship with space, including collaborations and exchanges connected with space agencies and the scientific space community. Within this framework, astronomical knowledge, cosmic imagery, mythology, and artistic intuition converge into a new symbolic language.
The horse becomes both a physical and metaphysical figure: a carrier of movement, instinct, memory, and transcendence. Through layers of ceramic relief, symbolic structures, and optical fiber lighting, ORION creates a passage between the visible and the invisible — between material form and the immeasurable structures that surround and inhabit human consciousness. Light activates the work from within. As illumination moves through the ceramic surface, the constellation is no longer simply represented as an image of the night sky. It becomes an orientation point — a portal connecting the earthly body, cosmic space, and the invisible dimensions explored through Theater of Invisible. In 2026, ORION was presented as part of The Glitch: Fragmented Becoming, a group exhibition curated by DiarBid Art House in collaboration with Dubai Culture & Arts Authority, at Al Shindagha Museum — House 353, Dubai. The exhibition brought together 35 artists exploring identity as fluid, layered, and continuously evolving. Within this context, ORION entered into a dialogue with the exhibition's central idea of transformation: the familiar form is fragmented into layers of material, light, symbolism, and perception, allowing another reality to emerge through it. 1. Realistic equine forms — anatomical fragments that anchor the vision in the tangible, earthly body of the horse.
2. Schematic nebulas and the constellation’s first spark — mapping the stellar geometry in its purest, diagrammatic essence.
3. Astronomical textures and celestial objects — fragments of the cosmos woven into the form, carrying the raw matter of distant worlds.
4. Mythic codes of Earth’s cultures — ancient interpretations and symbolic patterns humanity has assigned to the constellation through centuries.
5. Channeled visual codes and artefacts from other realities — impressions and glyphs not of this world, flowing in from parallel dimensions.
6. Abstract energetic background — a vibrational field that holds and harmonizes all other layers, creating the atmosphere in which the image breathes.
Together, these layers form a multidimensional channel — a transmission where the cosmic and the terrestrial meet, converse, and transform.
